Airsoft Magazine

Airsoft Magazine https://pts-steelshop.com/collections/airsoft-magazine is the place to find all of the latest information about airsoft guns and equipment. You can read reviews and articles written by experts in the field.

To maintain your magazine, you should regularly lubricate it with silicon oil. You should also inspect the spring and follower for wear. A worn follower can cause misfeeds and jams.

How Airsoft Magazine Works

There are a few different types of magazines for airsoft guns. The most common type is the hi-cap magazine, which holds a lot of rounds. These magazines usually have a reservoir that you pour BBs into, and then a wheel on the bottom of the magazine that is wound to compress a spring-style feeding mechanism. The magazine then feeds BBs one by one through the turnstile in the center and into your gun.

Another type of magazine is the drum mag. These are used for gas blowback rifles and pistols, and they work much like a real firearms magazine. However, they are a bit more complicated and require users to manually wind the internal spring using a serrated dial on the bottom of the magazine.

There are also flash magazines, which use a tight mag spring to constantly push BBs into your gun as you shoot them. These magazines do not need to be rewound, and they can hold more rounds than a high cap.

What is an Airsoft Magazine?

Airsoft Magazine are containers for the ammunition, or BBs, that feed into an airsoft gun. They come in 2 different types, High Capacity and Mid Capacity.

High capacity (sometimes called hi-cap) magazines open a trap door or window to pour the BBs in before winding a gear or wheel on the bottom of the mag to build up spring tension that will eventually fire your next BB when you pull the trigger. They are popular for military simulation players and experienced skirmishers who like to play with a more realistic experience and have to reload frequently.

Mid capacity (sometimes called mid-cap) magazines are a simpler design that does not require winding to load BBs in and they are reusable, meaning you can simply insert your BBs into the magazine through the top opening with a speed loader, they will stay under constant spring pressure until you use them all. They are also popular for military simulation players and beginners.

How to Find an Airsoft Magazine

Magazines are the part of an airsoft gun that stores loose BBs and feeds them into the actual gun when the trigger is pulled. There are many different types of magazines available, some with a lot of BB capacity and others with less. Choosing the best magazine for your needs depends on the type of gun you have, how often you play and your budget.

Mid Cap mags are usually preferred by veteran airsoft players because they offer a happy medium between BB capacity and realism. They are also quiet when used compared to High Cap mags as they don’t rattle when you move around which can give away your position in the game. These mags will need to be ‘loaded’ using a speed loader or by hand.

High Cap magazines can be easily loaded by opening a trap door found at the top of the magazine and pouring in high quality BBs. These will then need to be ‘loaded’ into the gun by winding the magazine wheel until you hear a noise that indicates that all of the BBs have been fed into the mechanism.

How to Choose an Airsoft Magazine

There are low, mid and high capacity magazines to choose from and each has its own merits depending on your play style. You can also find magazine extensions such as flash magazines which help prevent rattling and remove the need for winding.

Generally included with the gun during its initial purchase high capacity magazines have a reservoir that holds a large number of BBs and uses a winding wheel at the bottom to build spring tension. When you fire a BB it will push the remainder of the BBs into your barrel and continue to do this until the magazine is empty.

Mid capacity magazines have a larger BB capacity than the high capacity types and use a combination of a spring and a plunger to operate. They are often found on pistols, snipers and assault rifles and have their own advantages. They however have their drawbacks such as having to carry a speed loader with you and they can be loud when they are being used in a field with lots of trees and bushes.
